Active – 8 is one of the companies that provide several great activities for the whole family. Paint Ball and Laser Tag is one activity you should not miss during your Newquay holidays. The paint ball centre is located in Cornwall, near the Cornwall holiday cottages. This activity will last for 3 hours and is perfect for either a morning or afternoon family activity. This is Cornwall’s first paintball site and is accredited to the United Kingdom Paintball Sports Federation. Apart from regular paintballing, there is the laser tag. The laser guns that are used at this place are unlike the normal paintball. You do not use any projectiles but rather just harmless infrared light, similar to your television remote control. You do not need to wear any masks and this allows better vision and movement. There is no charge for each shot unlike in normal paintball. This is a fun-filled activity for the whole family. You can also organise a family get together, birthday party or any other event. The centre will provide the laser guns and safety advice before starting. The minimum age to participate in this activity is 8 years for the Laser Tag and 12 years for the Paint Ball.
Active – 8 Canadian Canoeing Fowey
You should try canoeing during your Newquay holidays. This is a one day activity you and your family can enjoy while staying at one of the Cornwall holiday cottages. To enjoy a day-out canoeing, make sure you are dressed appropriately and carry a change of clothing. The canoeing centre will provide all equipment including bags to keep your stuff while you are on the water. You will have a qualified instructor to give you instructions and guide you during your canoe trip. This canoeing trip will take 5 hours. As you paddle, you will be able to enjoy some extraordinary scenery. You will also be able to enjoy some delicious food at the half way point. The rates are ₤35 for adults and ₤33 for children under 18 years. Group booking is also possible. Activities are subject to change if the weather is not suitable. On Saturdays the rates are ₤39 per person. If you are a large group, you will need to contact the office in advance to check availability.
